The College Essay Workshop
Recommend for everyone! Strong writers and those who need help every step of the journey will benefit from this class.

The "Personal Statement" Essay can make or break your college application. As schools lean towards test-optional policies this essay is becoming more important than SAT/ACT scores for some students.
Stand out from the rest of the crowd by working with a professional to create your own masterpiece. In this small group workshop ( 5 students max) we will use the Design Thinking model to help students create their own essay that showcases strengths, resilience, growth, and leadership.
This workshop begins with brainstorming sessions, values exercises, personal assessments, and inspiring games. Students will write multiple drafts of the "Personal Statement"required by most colleges. During this workshop students will receive individual assistance and revision input. Depending on writing styles, students will have an essay ready to include in the Common Application by the end of this workshop.

All sessions taught by Anna Zirkel and include 10 hours of instruction time. These small group workshops (1-5 students) include personalized attention and take place in downtown Hillsborough, NC.
